Tuba to Cuba was set up in 2003 to raise money for second-hand musical instruments which are sent to poor schools in Cuba, and more recently, Ecuador. Each year, several concerts are held with the support of young musicians from many organisations donating their time and efforts to raise money. More than £30,000 worth if instruments, accessories and music books have been sent to the National Arts Centre (CNEART) in Havana, Cuba.

Since the first concert featuring just ten young musicians, Tuba to Cuba has featured more than 320 musicians from all around the world, including Britain, Sweden, Ireland, Colombia, Germany, the USA, Holland, Japan, China, Canada and Poland.
