Young’s and in particular Branch Manager Phil have been spectacular in their support of young performers. If one of our young musicians doesn’t have the appropriate concert wear, this has been provided by Young’s.

All the staff at Parker’s have been a fantastic in helping us – from supplying packing crates for instruments and delivering them to our door on Sunday mornings to coming to play in concerts! Haberdashers’ Aske’s Federation

Haberdashers’ Aske’s has not only provided the venue for two Tuba to Cuba concerts, but has worked so hard in every way imaginable to support us. From staff and department-level donations, to performances by IT teachers and constant moral support, Aske’s has given all they can to ensure the success of these concerts. Special thanks must go to Principal Dr Elizabeth Sidwell and Mr Paul Durgan.

 

Marx Memorial Library

As well as being the venue for the very first Tuba to Cuba concert, the Marx Memorial Library has been with us through thick and thin, providing endless amounts of goodwill, as well as technical assistance in getting these concerts off the ground. Huge thanks go to Librarian Patricia Collins for all her help.

 

Trinity College of Music

Roger Arjente, head of Brass at Trinity and Principal Bass Trombone in the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra has been a fantastic help in the past year, providing contacts and introducing Trinity students to the world of Tuba to Cuba. We would like to extend greatful thanks to all the staff and students at Trinity College of Music, and in particular Philip Hall and Rob Parton.
